Music is the language of the Gods that can bring all people together and, for this reason, music is an important part of my life.
-Steven Seagal
Me-- just an old dawg with a music addiction that must be constantly fed. It started when I was eight years old and stood outside a church and listened to gospel , and heard people shouting and feeling the spirit, and I said, this is good!! I'm a builder/carpenter/fix it guy who loves to hear the words "it can't be done", and then do my best to do it, and do it well. I've been involved in music in one way or another since I was sixteen (40 years now), by doing security, lighting, and promotion of one kind or another. I've had the pleasure of working with Goose Creek Symphony, Bo Diddley, Steppenwolf, Atlanta Rythm Section, Humble Pie, Black Oak Arkansas, The Ramones, Carrie Newcomer, Doc Watson, Ralph Roddenberry (my hero!), Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, Cool John Ferguson, Blueground Undergrass, The Homewreckers, Johnny Van Zant Band, Donna Hopkins, just to name a few........
I started doing the broadcasting thing on Live365 about eight years ago thanks to a good friend we call "Foggy" (Todd Nelson) who had a group of online friends he called S.O.C.R.A.T.E.S. (Society Of Classic Rock And The Electric Sound) that originally played rock trivia every Sunday night, online, and evolved into a station that had live music broadcasted every night of the week, with me doing "Blue Monday", and of course, the blues. As time went on, Foggy had to leave to devote more time to his family, and I took over things for a couple years until I decided to start my own gig on Live365, the first being called "Mayberry 420 RFD", as I was born and raised in what is called Mt Pilot, and Mayberry on the Andy Griffith Show.
Now I'm here with the bestest bunch of folks a guy could ever hope to know, having more fun than should be legal, getting to know more and more artists, and their fine work, getting my musical buttons pushed more, and loving it more and more. Brisco Darling on the Andy Griffith Show said it best-- "You Got Time To Breathe, You Got Time For Music"............
